I still say Megaman wins, if for no other reason than he can get hit multiple times without dying. Sonic gets hit without rings, and he dies. Mario gets hit without having one of his powerups, he dies.

Mega gets hit by an enemy, he blinks and then blasts the enemy.

The only thing I shall note that is interesting is that Sonic seems to be the only one who won't die immediately on contact with spikes. So long as he has rings anyways

@Iwillbenapo: Megaman X =/= Megaman. Megaman X is a completely different robot, built by the same roboticist, but encapsulated for roughly a century.

@Iwillbenapo: If your talking about the games I think your talking about, as I recall it still doesn't take many hits for mario (or luigi/peach/or toad) to die.

Also, Sonic Battle was one game.

@Hero of Comedy: I take it you've never heard of Megaman X command mission?

true, its in a different part of the series, but if they made a classic MM rpg he'd have lots of health to. But then, so is any character in an RPG.

It also depends if you count the MM Battle Network series. Than yes, it has ventured into RPG.

The difference is that in every Megaman game, (save maybe that soccer one) Megaman has a health bar. Sonic and Mario however in their games don't get this. In Sonic, if you have no rings and touch a baddy or spikes, you die. In mario, if you don't have a powerup, you die.

I'm not saying that Megaman is better. I like all three series. I'm just saying that megaman will last longer than either of them.

@supersonicfan0: As far as I can tell, Sonic can touch the spikes and live if he has rings. He gets hurt and loses a bunch of rings. If he doesn't have any though, then he dies.

@Kuragari: Eh, that'd probably only happen if Megaman had his cheatingful Robot Master weapons (which he did here, but everyone else had other stuff too so eh...) that Light takes out after every game. If they were all in base form, I'd give Sonic credit to beat him. MAYBE Mario, but that's a big maybe.

Mega Man has had an RPG. Classic Mega Man. More than one in fact. Japan only, and not that great.
One of which Keiji Inafune even apologized for and regrets.
Later Mega Man games have incorporated abilities where Mega Man can touch spikes once without dying.
I wouldn't judge them based on the games though. Cause if we're really gonna do that, Mario and Sonic have a huge advantage that mega could easily get in on through Smash bros. There they can take as many hits as they want provided they can stay on the stage and based on the locations here, there are no barriers meaning they couldn't die. Rate em based on their ability, not game mechanics that wouldn't exist in real life.
Also wow, same as Afrohawk, I'm shocked somebody else is ending their comic. It makes me happy, since if there's any major turn offs for me and comics, it's going on forever and ever. Stories need a conclusion, and when they go on for the sake of going on, I flat out grow to lose intrest and sometimes respect(when they do it simply to cash in on getting more fans and what not).

Erm, I don't know where you heard that but Mega's buster isn't solar powered.
Otherwise he couldn't use it in the night stages.(he wouldn't be able to use it where they stand!)

HMM??? There right on who's the best or not. It's nothing to fight over Right. I even do little sonic empressions but, i don't reject any of them. It's nothing to fight over they are all the best and you can't judge them by there powers. but, if i was doing the comic i would make it a tie.

As Hyro VI says, only special kinds of spike traps kill Mega Man instantly (either molecularly sharpened or charged with massive amounts of power). These type of spike traps would also kill Sonic, Mario, and just about anybody else instantly.

Mega Man survives normal spikes or spines just fine. Touching Sonic's quills would do little to him.
